I really really have been behind on blogging so this is my week to play catch up and let ya see some shoots I did right before dreaded winter hit. I can feel spring coming and it makes me so happy!
This is Tasha and BR and they are getting married in June. We had so much fun and little B.R. was a riot and just makes you smile!!
I have known the Lynch Family since I was 15. Melissa and Danny had their wedding at Wyandotte County Lake and it was a small and intimate affair. They decided to get married earlier than they had anticipated due to the fact that Danny was being transferred for the military. The day was gorgeous and the sun popped out just as they were saying their vows. I do also have to say that the reveal was one of my favorites that I have shot at a wedding. It was so sweet!
THE REVEAL -- SO SWEET
I recently had the chance to shoot a couple of weddings and I had so much fun shooting both of them! I am so behind on blogging that today I am going to do FOUR! Yes, FOUR posts today!! I have two weddings and a couple of seniors to show you and then hopefully I can get some up tomorrow and then I leave to go out of town for my annual girls weekend in Bella Vista, Arkansas! Yeah!! I will be back on Monday and hopefully getting caught up on this end of the photography! Whew!!
Alright, first up is Angie and Julian's wedding. I had such a good time with them and everyone was so much fun. Angie was the most laid back bride I have ever met. I went to school with two of the groomsmen, I just graduated a couple years before them. Chad, the LOUD one, is going to be my new assistant because he just has a way of getting everyone to just relax and do CRAZY! things. He is also a goofball when he is getting his picture taken and I am sure that without a doubt you will be able to tell which one he is! Now, Dustin is the quieter one of the two and he sang during the wedding. Now, let me tell you, I am one of those people who keeps their composure all the time. Things move me, but I try not to have PDM (public displays of movement), especially when I am working. Well, that was all thrown out the window when I heard for the first time the gift of Dustin's singing. I had to walk to the back of the church to compose myself because, first, I was so shocked -- where did this come from?! He NEVER sang in highschool. And second, it was absolutely beautiful. After the ceremony and reception were over, tomy pure enjoyment Dustin sat down at his piano and game me a little mini-concert. Chad and their guitar player ended up joining him and rocked the house! Thank you so much for sharing your God given gift with me.

I recently did a shoot with Megan and Kendall (who just happens to be my husband's baby sis) for their upcoming nuptials. When we chatted about location and things like that Megan said they were wearing camo, but they were bringing a couple of other outfits so since they live in Tonganoxie I thought the VA park would be a great spot -- tanks and suspended helicopters!! -- so during the course of the shoot Kendall said something about this car he has at his parent's house that he bought that he is eventually finishing for Megan so I was like okay, what kind of car is it? It's a freakin like 60 something Mustang!! So then he was like I also have a red Camaro that I finished that kind of looks cool because the front end is sticking out of a barn. "Um, is there a reason we are at this VA Park and you guys are in camo?" I am pretty sure Megan's exact words were, "I don't know, because I thought it would be cute." HELLO!! Buying old cars and fixing them up is Kendall's hobby that he does in his spare time, and since I have known him, they have gone on several trips to pick these various cars up that he finds on EBAY or the paper or on the internet. We got to his parent's house and had to walk down to where the Mustang was because his dad doesn't really like Kendall leaving his unfixed cars sitting around making his yard look like a graveyard for cars -- so it currently resides behind a huge evergreen or spruce (I have never claimed to be a tree expert) and pushed down into a creek. It needs some help, but can you imagine it with a hood, an engine, a new paint job and Megan behind the wheel!! Besides, how sweet is that that he bought that with the intention of fixing it up for her?!! Also, a little warning -- we have some hooottttttness going on here.....ssssssssss.
