When I was little I took dance and every class my teacher, Sue, would pull me aside and tell me I was disrupting the other children because I would do everything on my toes. I wanted to be a ballerina. This other dance stuff, well, that was for normal girls. I was a princess ballerina and ballerinas did everything on their toes. That was until Sue let me wear some toe shoes during practice one day and to my horror that was not how a princess should feel standing on her toes. This was when my childhood dream of being a ballerina was no longer in me me but squashed by the weight of a seven year old into the bottom of the borrowed pretty pink toe shoes. My love for ballerinas never went away and my girls and I take a yearly trip to the Nutcracker every year, it just that my feet were not meant to be in those shoes. I am happy appreciating from afar.
To my surprise and delight Kylee, teaches ballet and brought her shoes along to her senior pictures. We had a lot of fun and even found a couple of pretty cool walls! After taking pics at a favorite spot I walked down a little ways and found a wall just for her -- it just needed an extra "E" and a little photoshopping!
